Money doesn’t just fall from the sky… or does it?
Money falling from the sky seems like the sort of gimmick you’d expect Biff Tannen to be behind in Back to the Future.
And it’d have something to do with the sports almanac and a series of increasingly ludicrous events.
But this actually happened.
Well, maybe not quite like that.
But in California, an accident on the freeway involving an armoured vehicle meant that the cash stored in the truck was scattered all over the road…
And as you can imagine, dozens of people were frantically chasing the notes around, attempting to stuff as much in their pockets before everyone realised what was happening.
But you know how this ends, right?
Because it’s not a generous benefactor dishing out free money – it belongs to someone.
More specifically, it belongs to a private security firm – and all of those motorists who were taking advantage of the fortuitous incident were in for a rude awakening.
You’ll be glad to know that everyone was uninjured, by the way.
Police officers were on the scene pretty quickly to take down details of those with dollar bills sticking out of their trousers.
I’m not sure I’d know how to react if this unfolded in the middle of the M1, to be honest.
