Flintstones, Meet The Flintstones…
Fred Flintstone drove one of the most iconic cars of all time.
Well, okay, drove might not strictly be the right term for it… and iconic might be stretching it a bit given it’s a cartoon.
BUT as soon as you mention Fred’s car, people know exactly what you’re talking about.
It’s essentially a grown-up version of those Cozy Coupe cars kids have where they push themselves off thanks to the hole in the floor.
Well, what if I told you that someone had only gone and built a real-life version of the Flintstone’s car?
They’ve actually even gone one step further and hooked it up to an engine, transmission, and proper axles with wheels.
Really…

I’ll be honest, a car made of logs and no doors or windows feels much more like a go-kart than a car.
But that doesn’t take away from the achievement, given that the Garage 54 team (who’ve done plenty of challenges like this before) assembled the entire thing in the forest.
That meant finding logs, cutting them down to size, strapping all of the framework of the vehicle together, and even getting it moving.
The day after, they even fitted a driver’s seat, clutch and accelerator pedals and a braking lever so that it was fully functional.
Still, I’m not sure I’d be driving this one anywhere outside of Bedrock…
